The expansion of Betsafe to Ontario comes after the operator secured a license that allows its products to be offered through Strive Gaming platform. Ontarians can access these services via mobile apps and standard web browsers.

Commenting on the acquisition of the license, Pontus Lindwall, President, and CEO at Betsson Group, said:
“We are pleased to obtain the necessary licenses to operate with both a B2C and B2B offering in the locally regulated online gaming market in Ontario.”
Lindwall added that the company is convinced there are great opportunities for Betsson in Ontario in both the B2C and B2B channels as it introduces competitive offerings to the market.
Betsson Group, the parent company of Betsafe, also received a supplier license that will allow it to provide sports betting services to other operators in Ontario. The latter legalized online gambling services in April 2022 and has since attracted many operators and providers.
